About Jonah

Jonah Brockman is a music and audio producer with over 20 years of experience helping artists, brands, and organizations bring their stories to life through sound. His work spans full album and song production, custom music, and podcast and audiobook editing. He specializes in a one-stop-shop production style, collaborating with clients from the initial concept through final delivery—and beyond.
Jonah’s journey began as a signed recording artist with November 8 Records in the early 2000s. That experience gave him a unique, both-sides-of-the-glass perspective on music production and made him especially focused on helping independent artists take greater control of their music and careers. Since 2009, he has worked as a freelance producer, collaborating both in person and remotely with clients around the world. This flexibility has allowed him to remove geographic barriers and deliver high-level production—wherever his clients are.
He’s also the drummer for Van Go Go, a Detroit-based alternative rock band with a growing national following. The band has performed at major venues and festivals across the country, known for its high-energy live shows and hook-driven sound. He’s also worked as a touring musician for a variety of acts including Nate Mackinder, Claire Vandiver, Jason Mapes/Bad Side, and Justine Blazer.
In addition to his production work, Jonah is the co-founder and Head of Music Production at ItyDity, a platform that helps independent artists take creative control of their music. ItyDity provides artists with the tools, language, and support to lead their own production journey with confidence. Its flagship program, the Find Your Sound Accelerator, is designed especially for women artists, helping them identify their unique sound and navigate the production process with clarity and authority.
Over the years, Jonah has worked with a wide range of clients—from indie artists just starting out to global brands and academic institutions. Whether he’s producing a debut record, restoring archival audio, or editing a podcast for a major university, he approaches each project with the same commitment to clarity, creativity, and care.
He loves what he does and is always looking for new opportunities to help people be heard—and sound their best.
